G. Sayeed Choudhury (Associate Dean for Library Digital Programs and Hodson Director, Digital Research and Curation Center, Johns Hopkins University) will speak on the value of institutional repositories.
Other sessions will feature speakers from around the country. Topics will include IR platforms (Digital Commons, Fedora, CONTENTdm), Creating Managing, and Marketing an IR, and a glimpse into the possible future of both IRs and university digital publishing.

UALC Co-Sponsors Institutional Repository Conference
UALC, along with Utah State University and Berkeley Electronic Press, is co-sponsoring an upcoming institutional repository conference at the Merrill-Cazier Library on the Logan campus of Utah State University. Institutional Repositories: Disseminating, Promoting, and Preserving Scholarship will take place Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. The keynote speaker will be G. Sayeed Choudhury (Associate Dean for Library Digital Programs and Hodson Director, Digital Research and Curation Center, Johns Hopkins University) Other IR topics to be explored include IR platforms (Digital Commons, Fedora, CONTENTdm), Creating Managing, and Marketing an IR, and a glimpse into the possible future of both IRs and university digital publishing.
